HOW MUCH TIME DO I NEED AND WHEN DO I START?
PADI Advanced is a 2 day course and is usually conducted over a weekend
with the night dive on either Saturday or Sunday night (arranged at the class's convenience). We
can also run the course over 2 weekdays if requested. Please see the calendar for starting dates.
The 2 day schedule remains the same, and every day begins and ends at the dive centre:
Day 1: Course Introduction and Knowledge Development (9am - 5pm). Navigation & Peak Performance Buoyancy dives.
Day 2: Knowledge Development, Deep and Boat dives (9am - 5pm)
Note: The night dive leaves the dive centre between 5 and 6pm and generally returns between 8 and 9pm
WHERE DO WE GO?
The knowledge development portion of the course is conducted at the Dive Centre.
The dive sites that we use for the open water dives on day 1 are dependent on weather and sea conditions although we generally use dive sites at North Bondi, Clovelly Pool, Bare Island (La Perouse) or Gordon's Bay. All the dives are shore dives and a description of each site can be found here.
On day 2 our dives are conducted from a boat and again the dive sites are dependent on weather and sea conditions and include Long Reef, Magic Point or in and around the North or South Heads a description of each site can be found at our diving in Sydney page.
