WHAT HAPPENS?
Dive Centre Bondi has tailored made the PADI Instructor Development Course and added a few components giving you the edge in today's very competitive employment market.
The IDC is designed to develop your instructional skills, not test them. This produces a low-stress environment that makes learning easier. Instructor candidates can relax and concentrate on skills development, knowing that making mistakes is part of the learning process.
HOW MUCH AND WHAT IS INCLUDED?
When you complete your IDC with Dive Centre Bondi in Sydney, you will also enjoy the following additional benefits:
- PADI Nitrox specialty instructor rating during course. (Nitox diver certificton prerequisite)
- Training staff live-in provides a total coaching service after hours
- Budget accommodation close to Dive Centre
- Any scuba equipment required for the course, supplied at no extra charge

The IDC commences on a Friday evening and is conducted full-time until the following Friday. You can then elect to commence your Instructor Examination on that Friday evening finishing the Sunday afternoon. This then only requires you to take ONE week off work to complete both your IDC & IE.
Your IDC fee is $1950.
WHAT DO I NEED TO START?
- PADI Divemaster rating or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have 60 logged dives, including night, deep, and navigation dives
- Have been a certified diver for at least 6 months
- Submit proof of CPR training within the past 24 months
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
To book a place on the PADI IDC just contact us and let us know when you want to start. Payment is on booking to secure your place, once that is received you can pick up your PADI IDC workbook or we can send it out to you.
