On the weekend of the 30th April we ran our monthly Rescue Diver Course. Spencer, Katrin, Niklas, Todd, Declan and Juliano Learnt Important life saving skills and drills over the two days to earn their PADI Rescue Diver certification!! Day one set the basis of the rescue diver techniques including surfacing an unresponsive diver from depth, Panicked diver on the surface, missing diver and many more. This prepared the guys for day two! Durning the 2nd day many different scenarios were played out suprising the guys with each one! Overall the guys worked well as a team and showed that they could rescue a diver in many different types of situations!! Great work Guys!! preston and Team DCB

On the Weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of April Roberta and Yusuke were put through skills, drills and scenarios to obtain their PADI Rescue Diver certification. During this course they both learnt key skills needed in case of diver emergencies! They both learnt how to search for missing divers, surface unconscious divers, calm down paniced divers and their buddys and much more. A lot of fun was had during the course and Both divers walked away feeling alot more comfortable with their new skills that they had learnt. On Saturday the 29th May, 7 advanced open water divers entered the water and on Sunday the 30th may 7 rescue divers emerged full of confidence and knowledge after a great weekend of training!! The students were pushed to their limits in all different types of situations, from missing unconscious divers and panicked buddies to gushing leg and head wounds (thanks to the great use of bbq sauce) and after two days obtained their rescue diver certifications… WELL DONE to Karren, Mark B, Mark W, Max, Michael, Jim and Matt, Preston and myself had a great time teaching you all and watching you make the transition from advanced divers to rescue divers, looking forward to seeing you all out and diving again soon…

The PADI rescue course is one of the most challenging and rewarding courses you can complete as a PADI Diver. On the 1^st and 2^nd of May, Cameron and Jonathan underwent training at Clifton gardens and bare Island, for the PADI rescue course and  were faced with different scenarios which they successfully completed to obtain their rescue certifications. A great weekend was had by all, look forward to seeing you both out diving again soon!! Well done guys!!
