Last weekend saw the completion of another Great Advanced Open water diver course! Lawrence, Randy and Suzanne were put through their paces on the first day completing 3 dives focusing on Peak performance Buoyancy, navigation and natralist dives. They were swimming through hoops, having navigational races and exchanging weights at depth! lots of fun was had whilst learning key skills to build upon their diving techniques.

The deep and boat dives on the Sunday were fantastic as the weather was incredible and after a commando style back roll off the boat we saw a pregnant crested horn shark, large flat head and a big sting ray! During the surface interval Randy fed the fish, but was smiling the whole way through!

It was great to see you all have lots of fun and learn new skills over the weekend! Enjoy the Jervis Bay trip guys you will have a Ball!!! All the best Jaemi, Jim and All the crew at DCB!!

Well done this week to Katrin, spencer, Mairead, Juliano and Todd on Completing their PADI Enriched Air diver specialty!! 2 divers were completed on the Boat in Sydney Harbour where the divers showed that they couls plan their dives using Nitrox and also annalyse their Nitrox tanks. The group experienced the advantages of using Nitrox that included: less nitrogen build up during the dives so they felt not as tired after diving, longer bottoms times and also shorter surface intervals Keep up the good diving guys!! On the weekend of the 30th April we ran our monthly Rescue Diver Course. Spencer, Katrin, Niklas, Todd, Declan and Juliano Learnt Important life saving skills and drills over the two days to earn their PADI Rescue Diver certification!! Day one set the basis of the rescue diver techniques including surfacing an unresponsive diver from depth, Panicked diver on the surface, missing diver and many more. This prepared the guys for day two! Durning the 2nd day many different scenarios were played out suprising the guys with each one! Overall the guys worked well as a team and showed that they could rescue a diver in many different types of situations!! Great work Guys!! preston and Team DCB

Congratulations to Neil, Matthew, Kirstin, Shay, Felicity who completed their PADI open water diver course this weekend!! Lovely Sunny conditions were had at Shelly Beach and Gordans bay It was great to see you all progress over the 4 dives and hope you all enjoy your upcoming diving Adventures! This week saw Ashley and Michael complete their PADI open water diver certifications. Lovely conditions were had out in the water with the divers able to see their first Dusky Whaler and wobbygong sharks!! Now that Ashley and Michael have obtained their licences they are able to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18m with a buddy!!
