Rescue Diver course!! 30th April-1st May

On the weekend of the 30th April we ran our monthly Rescue Diver Course. Spencer, Katrin, Niklas, Todd, Declan and Juliano Learnt Important life saving skills and drills over the two days to earn their PADI Rescue Diver certification!! Day one set the basis of the rescue diver techniques including surfacing an unresponsive diver from depth, Panicked diver on the surface, missing diver and many more. This prepared the guys for day two! Durning the 2nd day many different scenarios were played out suprising the guys with each one! Overall the guys worked well as a team and showed that they could rescue a diver in many different types of situations!! Congratulations to Neil, Matthew, Kirstin, Shay, Felicity who completed their PADI open water diver course this weekend!! Lovely Sunny conditions were had at Shelly Beach and Gordans bay :) It was great to see you all progress over the 4 dives and hope you all enjoy your upcoming diving Adventures! This week saw Ashley and Michael complete their PADI open water diver certifications. Lovely conditions were had out in the water with the divers able to see their first Dusky Whaler and wobbygong sharks!! :) Now that Ashley and Michael have obtained their licences they are able to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 18m with a buddy!! How Cool is That!! :) keep the diving up guys and see you both around soon All the best Team DCB

RESCUE DIVER!!! 2nd + 3rd April

On the Weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of April Roberta and Yusuke were put through skills, drills and scenarios to obtain their PADI Rescue Diver certification. During this course they both learnt key skills needed in case of diver emergencies! They both learnt how to search for missing divers, surface unconscious divers, calm down paniced divers and their buddys and much more. A lot of fun was had during the course and Both divers walked away feeling alot more comfortable with their new skills that they had learnt. This week saw Elsa complete her Open water diver course!! Over the 3 days Elsa completed her pool session, and 4 ocean dives!! Big Groupers, wobbygong sharks and stingrays were seen on the dives :) It was great to see Elsa progress as a diver and looking forward to having her join us soon for the advanced course!
