On the 26th of June Sean began his deep specialty. Over the weekend he completed 4 dives where he was able to experience how pressure affects objects, how colour is lost, ascent techniques, shooting up SMB’s on safety stops and much more :) a great two days were had out on the boat and it was great to see Sean progress throughout the course!! GREAT WORK!! Look forward to seeing you back out diving again soon.

Cheers from Ebbony and the team at DCB

Deep & Enriched specialtys Air 2nd May

Over two nights and two days last week, 5 intrepid divers took on the challenges of the PADI Deep and PADI Enriched Air course. Congratulations to Jye, Ceri, Mark, and Kerstin, as well as to Kevin who completed the Nitrox course on its own.

The course saw us work on the theoretical aspects of diving deep including amongst other things – gas consumption, appropriate ascent rates, equipment and specific relevant techniques.  In the Mean time the Enriched air course went through the advantages and special considerations around the use of gases other than air whilst diving.

On the weekend we got to go out and put this all into practice in the water – in what were varying though general very good conditions. The team went through some challenges, but pulled it together well in the end and all deservedly attained the above mentioned ratings. Congratulations to you all!

We look forward to spending time underwater with you again soon.

Simon,  Brendan and all the DCB Team.
