Diving the USS Atlanta!!!

A Team of GUE divers consisting of Jarrod Jablonski, Casey McKinlay, Liam Allen, Richard Lundgren, Kirill Egorov & JP Bresser have successfully executed a project, diving the wreck of the USS Atlanta @ Guadalcanal, Solomon Island. The Atlanta rests at 130 meters depth and has a rich history. Goal of the team is to document and explore this monument of the Pacific war. A documentary about the project will be released later this year.

Advanced Open Water Course 29th-30th Jan

Brilliant conditions were had over the Weekend of the 29th and 30th of Jan where we got to see 5 Open water students move on and gain their Advanced Certifications. Dives were completed at Bare Island and Nth Head. PADI Advanced diver course 4th July

Congratulations to James, Lulu, and Kerim on earning your PADI Advanced Open Water Certification and taking the next step in building your dive skills. I had a great weekend teaching you guys and watching your skills progress. We also had two excellent dives out on the boat on Sunday, diving at Waterfall and South Head Sponge Gardens.

PADI Deep Diver spec 27th June

On the 26th of June Sean began his deep specialty. Over the weekend he completed 4 dives where he was able to experience how pressure affects objects, how colour is lost, ascent techniques, shooting up SMB’s on safety stops and much more :) a great two days were had out on the boat and it was great to see Sean progress throughout the course!! GREAT WORK!! Look forward to seeing you back out diving again soon.

Enriched Air diver 26th June

On the Saturday the 26th Natalie, Sean and Michael began their Enriched air Nitrox course aboard “Scubaroo”. The conditions were perfect: flat sunny and great visibility. All three divers were able to experience the great advantages of using nitrox one of them being that their bottom times were extended by more than 20minutes :) . After completing two dives on the day, they obtained their Enriched air certifications, WELL DONE guys!!! Keep up the great work!
