Congratulations to Al, Joo, Hannah, Satoshi, Pricilla & Lukus who completed the PADI Rescue diver course. The PADI Rescue diver coursecovers dive accident scenarios, self-rescue skills, accident prevention and management. There is no denying that the rescue course is challenging – but it is also a lot of fun! Over the weekend we visited Bare Island & Chowder Bay. Our Divemaster  in training Meagan made a very convincing victim! The course develops the knowledge and skills to manage dive accident situations, render necessary first aid and effectively perform diver assists and rescues.

Congratulations to Thibault, Thaine, Rose & Kelsey who completed the PADI Open water course last Thursday. Well done team!

The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular entry level diving certification. It qualifies you to dive  to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). PADI is the world’s largest diving training agency, and your Open Water certification will be recognised throughout the world.

Last Thursday night and Saturday saw Martin, Jennifer and Andrew complete their PADI Enriched Air course. Congratulations! The course took us through the theoretical aspects of using Enriched Air including the advantages as well as the potential risks. Saturday saw us head out of the harbour and dive off the boat at Colours Reef and Old Man’s Hat. What a beautiful day to be out and about! We saw Wobbegong sharks, Port Jackson sharks and loads of other fish. Though definitely the highlight of the day was the Eastern Fur Seal that played with us for a bit both when we were above and below the water!!

If you didn’t already know one of our illustrious leaders is away diving/training at the moment …. Liam has been doing it tough diving in Florida & Mexico!  The word on the street is that during his adventures Liam Allan won an award from GUE…. CONGRATULATION LIAM ON RECEIVING GUE INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!
