                                    Open water divers just before their first pool dives with Instructor Jim

WHAT HAPPENS?
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular entry level diving certification. It qualifies you to dive independently to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet). PADI is the world’s largest diving training agency, and your Open Water certification will be recognized throughout the world.

WHATS INVOLVED?
The course is divided into three parts:

1. Knowledge development- completed through e-learning
2. A session in the swimming pool where you will learn and practice the basic scuba skills and familiarize yourself with the equipment.
3. As the final part of your training you will complete 4 ocean dives at our local dive sites.

A BIG congratulations to all the Scots College boys who spenta fun filled week with us. Our staff had a great time with the bubble makers in the pool. We look forward too seeing you all next year for the Open water Adventureand likewise congrats to the Open water and Advanced guys we look forward to seeing you for some continuing education.

The PADI Rescue diver course covers dive accident scenarios, self-rescue skills, accident prevention and management. There is no denying that the rescue course is challenging – but it is also a lot of fun!

Over the course you will develop the knowledge and skills to manage dive accident situations, render necessary first aid and effectively perform diver assists and rescues. Developing self-confidence in your diving abilities and comfort in your equipment is paramount to you enjoying every dive.

Sunny Skies, Flat conditions and Excellent Viz! what more could we have asked for! This week Mark, Valeska, Julia, Oliver, Zack and Caroline jumped into the water to begin their diving Adventures. Great diver were had a Camp Cove and Gordons Bay Grouper, Sting rays and cuttle fish were all spoted!
