On the 9th of August we set of to once again to visit the Idyllic Vava’u Archipelago, which is the the northernmost group of islands in the Kingdom of Tonga. And WOW!!! What a great trip…. There are many reasons to visit this lovely Island of Tonga. Long expanses of golden beaches, crystal clear waters, dramatic coastal scenery and volcanic peaks and a warm lifestyle that makes the other pacific islands look hectic in comparison to the warm and welcoming nature of the Tongan people. But the Humpback Whales are the biggest draw-card and we were lucky enough to enjoy many hours of whales swims with adult and juveniles that migrate to the Tongan waters yearly to court, mate and calf.

A big congratulations to Brendan, Joe , David, Ben, Matthew, Blake, Owen, Lyndsey, Matthew L, Nathan, Tristan & Adrian on completing the PADI Open water course. It was a pleasure to have you so well behaved given you’d already been drilled by Adrian & Brendan…lol….and good to see so many out of your comfort zone and rising to the challenge. We had loads of fun and good luck with the next stage of your dive careers in Townsville.
